Ephesians 5:31–33 (NKJV) 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Will you commit to raising your child in the discipline and instruction of the Lord? (We will)
Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV) 4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Will you commit to being disciple makers in your home? (We will)

Deuteronomy 4:9–10 (NKJV) 9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, 10 especially concerning the day you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’

Will you commit to disciplining your child in love as the Lord has commanded – in the hope that, through obedience to you, they will obey the Lord? (We will)
Proverbs 6:20–23 (NKJV) 20 My son, keep your father’s command, And do not forsake the law of your mother. 21 Bind them continually upon your heart; Tie them around your neck. 22 When you roam, they will lead you; When you sleep, they will keep you; And when you awake, they will speak with you. 23 For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

Will you commit to demonstrate to your child the value of God’s word as the final authority on all things? (We will)
Matthew 4:4 (NKJV) 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 pray without ceasing,

Will you commit to faithfully and regularly bring your child to meet with your church family. So we can encourage you to do all that you have committed to do today? (We will)
Hebrews 10:24–25 (NKJV)  24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
