Day 12: Help Someone Take Their Next Step Toward Jesus

Key Bible Verse: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” – Matthew 28:19 

At Great Commission, we believe everyone has a part to play in the Great Commission. That includes you. So instead of sitting still, take a step. Start with your ONE.

Jesus didn’t just save you from something—He also saved you for something. He gave you a mission: help others find the hope you’ve found. And you don’t need to travel across the world to do it—you can start right where you are. We call it “winning your world.” That means living on purpose in the places you work, live, eat, and play.

Your ONE is someone close to you but far from God. Maybe it’s a co-worker, a neighbor, a friend, or someONE in your own family. You already know them. You already care about them. And you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be willing.

In Luke 15, Jesus tells a story about a shepherd who leaves 99 sheep to go after the one that’s missing. That’s how Jesus came after you. And now, He’s inviting you to go after your One—not with pressure, but with purpose.

Start with prayer. Ask God, “Who do You want me to love on, pray for, and be available to?” This isn’t about changing someone’s mind—it’s about letting God change hearts, starting with yours.

Try This:

  • Think of someONE in your life who is close to you but far from God. That’s your ONE. If you can't think of someone.. Start praying and ask God every day to give you a burden for a ONE. 

  • Try and pick someone that lives close enough to the church that they could come with you. 

  • Write their name down.

  • Begin praying for them daily—by name. Ask God to open a door for a simple, meaningful conversation.
