HUMILITY

2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Psalm 51:16–17 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.
Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

Isaiah 57:15   \ Luke 18:9–14  \ 2 Samuel 7:18

Father, we come before you in a posture of humility today. We have nothing to offer to you that is not already yours. All of our good deeds are as filthy rags before you. We cry out to you because you are our ever-present help. We approach the throne of grace today with confidence, not in our own work, but of that which was accomplished by your Son, Jesus. We ask you to empty us of ourselves and sanctify us by your Spirit.
