DESCRIPTION:\nMoving Beyond Church as Usual: Why We Need "More &amp\; Bette
r Disciples"\nWhat does it truly mean to follow Jesus in a world that is c
onstantly shifting? Is church simply a routine we check off each week\, or
is it intended to be a dynamic movement that changes us—and the world a
round us—from the inside out?\nStarting on October 18\, we are embarking
on a transformative new sermon series titled "More &amp\; Better Disciple
s." This series isn't just about attendance or numbers\; it’s about alig
nment\, growth\, and living with Kingdom purpose.\nAt the heart of this se
ries is the Great Commission Engine—a visual framework illustrating how
every part of our spiritual lives works together. From gathering as a comm
unity to living fully surrendered\, connecting in deep relationships\, and
partnering together in generosity and mission\, every element powers our
calling to make disciples.\nWeek 1 (Oct 18): The Power of Showing Up\n(Cat
alytic Weekend Experience) We live in an age where almost everything can b
e done remotely\, conveniently\, and on-demand. But when it comes to faith
\, there is something irreplaceable about presence.\nThe weekend gathering
  isn't just a tradition\; it’s a catalytic experience. When God’s peop
le gather under one roof to worship\, hear the Word\, and lift up one voic
e\, something spiritual happens that simply cannot be replicated in isolat
ion. In the Great Commission Engine\, the catalytic weekend experience act
s as the spark. It inspires us\, reorients our hearts toward God\, and equ
ips us to live out our faith in the coming week. Showing up is often the v
ery first step toward a transformed life.\n\nReflect: How has simply showi
ng up in community shaped your faith in the past?\nCall to Action: Bring s
omeone with you this Sunday and experience the presence of God together!\n
\nWeek 2 (Oct 25): The Power of Saying "Yes"\n(Surrendered Living) The Fre
edom of Surrender\nIn a culture that constantly urges us to "take control"
and "follow our own heart\," Jesus offers a radically different path: sur
render. This Sunday in our series\, we focus on "THE POWER OF SAYING 'YES'
(Surrendered Living)." To become a disciple of Jesus means laying down ou
r own plans\, our own agendas\, and our own need for control in exchange f
or His greater purpose.\nSaying "yes" to Jesus isn't a one-time decision
—it’s a daily lifestyle. It fuels the Great Commission Engine by movin
g us from being passive spectators to active participants in God’s work.
When we surrender our time\, talents\, and desires\, we experience the tr
ue freedom and joy that only comes from walking in His will.\n\nReflect: I
s there an area in your life right now where God is asking you to say "yes
"?\n\n\nCall to Action: Step into surrendered living this week—ask God e
ach morning\, "What is your 'yes' for me today?"\n\n\n\nWeek 3 (Nov 1): Th
e Power of Finding Your People\n(Life-Changing Relationships) Faith Was Ne
ver Meant to Be Done Alone\nGod never intended for you to walk out your fa
ith on an island. From the very beginning\, design dictated that we need c
ommunity—people who celebrate with us\, pray for us\, challenge us\, and
stand with us during tough seasons.\nThis Sunday\, we explore "THE POWER
OF FINDING YOUR PEOPLE (Life-Changing Relationships)." In the Great Commis
sion Engine\, life-changing relationships provide the fuel of accountabili
ty and care. True disciple-making happens in the context of authentic comm
unity.\nIf you’ve felt disconnected or isolated lately\, this message is
for you. Finding your people isn't just about making friends\; it's about
building spiritual partnerships that help you grow into the person God cr
eated you to be.\n\nReflect: Who are the key people in your life helping y
ou follow Jesus?\n\n\nCall to Action: Take a step toward community this we
ek—join a small group or reach out to someone after service!\n\n\nWeek 4
(Nov 8): When Word &amp\; Spirit Meet\nThe Engine at Full Power: Word &a
mp\; Spirit\nAs we conclude our series on "More &amp\; Better Disciples\,"
we arrive at a vital truth: true\, sustainable disciple-making requires b
oth the foundation of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.\nOur
final message in this series is "WHEN WORD &amp\; SPIRIT MEET."\n\nThe Wor
 d gives us truth\, direction\, and wisdom.\n\n\nThe Spirit gives us power\
, passion\, and life.\n\n\nWhen the truth of Scripture meets the living po
wer of the Holy Spirit inside a believer and inside a church\, the Great C
ommission Engine operates at full capacity! We become bold witnesses\, com
passionate servants\, and devoted followers of Jesus. Join us as we wrap u
p this transformational series and step forward into all that God has plan
ned for us!\n\nReflect: Is your daily walk leaning more on human effort\,
or are you walking in the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of the Wo
rd?\n\n\nCall to Action: Come expectant this Sunday as we worship and pray
for a fresh movement of Word and Spirit in our lives!\n\nWeek 5 (Nov 15):
Investing in Eternity: Kingdom Report Day\nWhere your treasure is\, there
your heart will be also. Generosity is one of the clearest indicators of
a heart aligned with God’s mission. This Sunday is a defining moment in
our series: "KINGDOM REPORT DAY." Generosity keeps the Great Commission En
gine running smoothly and expands its reach. When we give\, we aren't just
funding budget line items\; we are investing in transformed lives\, local
outreach\, global missions\, and the future of our church.\nKingdom Repor
t Day is an opportunity for each of us to pray\, give sacrificially\, and
partner with God in what He is doing in and through our church family. Tog
ether\, our collective generosity makes an eternal impact!\n\nReflect: How
does giving reflect our trust in God’s provision?\n\n\nCall to Action:
Prayerfully consider how God is calling you to participate on Kingdom Repo
rt Day!\n\n\n\nWeek 6 (Nov 22): Keep the River Flowing\n(Partners in the
Great Commission) Becoming a Conduit\, Not a Reservoir\nA lake with no out
let eventually becomes stagnant. But a river—a body of water where life
continually flows in and out—stays fresh\, vibrant\, and fruitful. The s
ame is true for our faith.\nThis week\, we look at "KEEP THE RIVER FLOWING
(Partners in the Great Commission)." As disciples\, God doesn't pour His
blessings\, grace\, and truth into our lives just for us to hold onto them
. He intends for us to be channels through which His love flows out to oth
ers.\nWhen we see ourselves as true partners in the Great Commission\, we
share the Gospel\, serve our neighbors\, and actively invest in making mor
e disciples. Together\, we keep the river of God's blessing moving into ou
r city and around the world.\n\nReflect: How can you be a channel of God
’s grace to someone in your sphere of influence this week?\n\n\nCall to
Action: Ask God to show you one person who needs to experience His love th
rough you.\n\n\nWhether you've been walking with God for decades or are ju
st beginning to ask big questions about faith\, there is a place for you i
n this story. Join us as we fire up the engine and discover what happens w
hen a church unifies around the mission of Jesus!\n\n
